Work Related issues

Work is a common cause for stress and it could be because we spend one third of the adult life at work. Reasons for stress at work could be because of interpersonal conflict, communication problems, gossip, bullying, harassment, discrimination, low motivation, low job satisfaction, performance issues or poor job fit. The stress can look like:

  1. Thoughts – I can’t cope, it’s too much, I’m in the wrong job
  2. Emotions – sad, upset, anxious, frustrated
  3. Physical sensation – lack motivation, lack concentration, tired, exhausted
  4. Behaviour – avoidant, procrastinate, make excuses, take time off work
