Sleep problems

Sleep problems can be a result of stress, physical discomfort or physical health conditions. It could also be an issue if there is no sleep routine for instance when having different shift patterns for work. Lack of sleep can result in the following:

  1. Thoughts – I can’t cope, something bad will happen, it’s too much
  2. Emotions – anxious, irritated, frustrated, angry
  3. Physical sensations – heart racing, breathing faster, chest pains, stomach churning, sweating and many more
  4. Behaviour – avoid, escape, safety behaviours i.e. plan ahead
