All relationships are different however they all have similar issues. There are many factors that can contribute towards the difficulty including financial problems, not seeing each other enough, family, a specific incident, substance misuse and etc. This can lead to stress which can feel like the following:
- Thoughts – this isn’t working out, I am being treated unfairly
- Emotions – upset, sad, angry
- Physical sensations – tired, exhausted, heart racing, tension in body
- Behaviour – not eat or sleep properly, argumentative or quiet, seek distraction
