Anger issues

Anger is a normal reaction which is a result of feeling unfairly treated, disrespected or let down with expectations. The symptoms of anger are similar to those of anxiety, where the adrenaline kicks in to tell the body that something bad will happen and therefore either “fight or flight” the situation. Traits include:

  1. Thoughts – It’s not fair, they’re doing something wrong, no one else sees what I see, I’m being disrespected
  2. Emotions – angry, frustrated and irritated
  3. Physical sensations – heart racing, sweaty, going red, tensed muscles, hypervigilant, restless
  4. Behaviour – shout, aggressive behaviour, defensive, noisy, urge to fight back
